We Keep Your Pet Happy!

General Information and Policies
The purpose of Lucky Puppies Dog Daycare and Boarding Center is to provide a safe, organized, monitored, and stimulating environment for a group of dogs to interact with each other and people while their owners are away. To ensure the safety and health of your pet and our other guests, we require all clients and/or guests to comply with the following rules and regulations.
AGE: All dogs and cats must be at least 12 weeks of age or older.
SEX: All dogs 7 months or older must be spayed or neutered to be eligible for daycare. Intact pets over 7 months are able to attend boarding only – no socialization.
VACCINATIONS: All dogs must be current on all vaccinations. Owners must submit written proof of Rabies, DHLPP, and Bordetella (Canine cough). Also required is a negative fecal exam within the last 12 months. Please note that Bordetella and fecal samples are sometimes not included in an annual wellness exam. Make sure that all appropriate vaccines and tests are current well in advance of your drop-off day. **Current titers are acceptable. Cats are required to be current on Rabies, Leukemia, and Distemper. There will be no exceptions to the above vaccine policy. We recommend flea and tick preventative. Any animal that has a current flea problem will need to be treated before they can attend. Any animal that has a current flea problem will be treated with BioSpot at the owner’s expense.
HEALTH: All dogs must be in good health. Owners must certify in writing that their dog(s) are in good physical health and have not been ill with any communicable condition within the last 30 days. Upon admission, all dogs must be free from any condition that could potentially jeopardize other pets. Dogs who have been ill with any communicable condition within the last 30 days will require veterinarian certification of health to be admitted or readmitted. Dogs with non-contagious ailments (such as arthritis, thyroid, sight and hearing, etc.) or physical handicaps are accepted without prejudice.
BEHAVIOR: All dogs applying for daycare must be non-aggressive and not food or toy protective. Owners must certify in writing that their dogs have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or other animal(s). Please remember: your pet will be spending his/her day with other pets, and the safety/health of all animals is our main concern. We reserve the right to refuse admittance to any dog that shows inappropriate behavior. Dogs that are here for boarding can be separated from the main daycare group. Be specific if you have any concerns about your dog’s behavior with other dogs or people.
HOURS: We are open Mon. thru Fri. from 7am to 5:30pm. We ask our daycare customers to pick-up by 5:30 to allow us to clean up. Sat. and Sun. 8-10am and 2-4pm are for drop-off and pick-up of boarders only. We ask that first-time boarders are dropped off before 4:30pm on weekdays and at least an hour before closing on weekends, so that we have time to get to know your pet on his/her first day. **Failing to pick up your pet on your scheduled day will result in a $10 late pick-up fee. This fee is for those who show up after closing but while we are still in the building. (Please note: to be eligible for half-day rate for daycare, dogs must be present only up to 4 hours.)
CANCELLATION POLICY: We do not require a deposit to make a reservation, however, your reservation is a binding agreement to pay for at least 3 days of service. This is to include all levels of service; single and multiple dogs and single and multiple cats. Our exception to this policy is that if we can rebook your space with another customer then you will not be responsible for the charges.
ALSO: All dogs must be on a leash when you enter our lobby and while walking from your car to the building. This is for everyone’s safety; please respect our policy. If you are bringing your own food from home please make sure to bring enough. It is very important to check over all vaccinations prior to your drop off day – nothing is worse than showing up and not having everything that you need.
